Care
Materials used in all BijouxB pieces are carefully selected to ensure the best possible quality. Our jewelry is made from 14k gold filled or sterling silver (.925).

Here are some tips to keep your unique pieces beautiful and looking new.

Gold filled:
A  method used to make jewelry by combining solid 14k gold with another metal. Gold filled pieces have the same luster as pure gold and lasts just as long.

It is less likely to tarnish if cleaned and properly stored.

Gold filled pieces are water friendly jewelry but will oxidize if not worn regularly just as sterling silver does.

We recommend cleaning your pieces with a polish cloth to keep looking like new.

.925 Sterling silver:
Silver in its purest form is too soft to use in everyday jewelry pieces, most items are combined with another metal to make it more durable.

However, since sterling silver is still a delicate metal, it is still prone to oxidization. We recommend that our customers clean their jewelry regularly with a polishing cloth.

More tips...
Remove jewelry before working out or performing vigorous activities. Remove before sleeping.

Some of our jewelry is soldered, which can expose the base metal core of 14k gold fill, or cause the small amount of copper in sterling silver material to come to the surface. This will cause a small dark spot to appear at the point of soldering. It can easily be removed with a polishing cloth.

Repairs
We love a dainty look; this means that we use delicate chains for many of our necklaces. Please take care that the jewelry is not stretched/pulled (children and pets are usually the culprits!) We do understand that mistakes happen, so we offer a jewelry repair service. If your jewelry breaks within 30 days of receipt, we will repair it free of charge, plus the cost of shipping. All other jewelry repairs are available at a reasonable cost. Cleaning and polishing is included as part of your repair.
